Research assistantship in the pop music subgroup of the ACTOR Project (Analysis Creation and Teaching of Orchestration).


RESEARCH INTERN - McGILL UNIVERSITY - JUL 2021–SEP 2021

Summer research internship for the development of a non-western music theory course syllabus. 


RESEARCH INTERN - GLASGOW SCHOOL OF ART - MAY 2019

During this internship, I worked closely with a research team member to develop new creative ways of representing the academic path of a student in the creative arts.

SINGING TEACHER - SELF-EMPLOYED - SINCE SEP 2016

Teaching vocal lessons or general music (incl. music theory) to any age and for any genre. Exam preparation and vocal coaching.


SINGING TEACHER - STAGECOACH PERFORMING ARTS - STIRLING - DEC 2018–MAR 2020

Teaching duties include: teaching key stages 1-4 (ages 5-16); lesson planning in accordance with the school’s teaching framework; teaching in accordance with child protection (PVG).

RECITALIST - SINCE SEP 2016

Also a session musician. Various solo concerts with the University of Edinburgh, Reid School of Music between SEP 2016 and JUN 2020. COVID has severely impacted my performance opportunities and I am now actively searching for the next gig.


JUKEBOX: A MUSICAL REVUE - MAY 2017

Performed as Mary Lou, one of the main characters in the musical “Jukebox: A Musical Revue.” Edinburgh College, Music Box.


SOPRANO SCHOLAR - FEB 2017–MAY 2020

Soprano scholar at Marchmont St Giles’ Parish Church, Edinburgh, UK.



QUALIFICATIONS

M.A. MUSIC THEORY - McGILL UNIVERSITY - EXPECTED GRADUATION IN JUN 2023

Key modules: pedagogy of post-tonal theory and analysis; history of music theory; pop music analysis, mathematical models in music theory, music theory pedagogy.

Advisor: Prof Robert Hasegawa. Thesis project: "The Anime Sound: An Analytical and Semiotic Study of Contemporary Anime Music."
